I think if they can have this removed from the credit the patient might want to pay the bill

I feel that medical credit is no different than any other credit given when it comes to being a "blot on the credit report". Too many people decide to pay only AFTER they try to make a purchasem thinking that most medical providers don't really "need" their money. So if car repairs can stay on, so should medical bills.
